What Do Flying Saucers Have to Do with Meaningful Use?
August 16, 2012
My hair salon is very eclectic, and quite often they promote and display art from local artists. Recently they displayed these flying saucers. One would think you had entered an alien zone with all these foreign objects dangling around your head. It got me thinking about Meaningful Use, Security Risk Assessments and Compliance and how it might seem like aliens had landed at your practice with all these new concepts, regulations and criteria.
The good news is when you analyzed these UFOs hanging from the ceiling, they were simply made up of small Styrofoam saucers in the middle, coffee cup lids for the bottom and dressing dispenser cups for the top. By breaking down the components of what is unfamiliar, we can simplify the difficult and absorb what we need in order to get our work done. It could actually be fun!
