This month I’m starting something brand new … I’m beginning a blog talk radio program called More For Your Practice on the HealthCareNOWradio.com network. The first show will air on November 7 at 4:30 PM Eastern Time, and I can’t wait for all of you to tune in! You can find the show at http://www.healthcarenowradio.com/programs/more-for-your-practice/
As my practice grows, I’m finding more and more ways to reach out to Practice Managers across the country with programs and resources to help them navigate the ever-changing governmental regulations particularly with respect to Electronic Medical Record technology and Meaningful Use. Because I personally enjoy listening to blog talk radio programs that provide me with resources to grow in my business and personal life, I thought a blog talk radio program would be a great way for me to connect with Practice Managers everywhere.
I found HealthCareNOWradio.com and thought it was a perfect fit with the focus that I’ve had for the past couple of years. It is an Internet talk radio platform created specifically to deliver HITECH Answers’ popular Internet talk radio program MU Live! We join a line-up of interesting and informative 30 minute shows that run daily.
MORE For Your Practice is designed to give you more ideas, more resources and more support to manage the myriad of complex issues that Practice Managers face every day. Some of our upcoming show ideas include: interviews with Practice Managers, EMR cyber crimes, updating the Practice’s Compliance Policy manual, preparing for Meaningful Use Stage 2 and much more.
My first show is a 30 minute interview with my colleague Donna Fickett. We explore the subject of HIPAA Compliance Policies, and what we’re seeing in the field with how practices are handling updates to their Compliance Manuals. With the rising frequency of HIPAA Security and Privacy breaches and the resulting fines, this is a very timely and important topic for all medical practices.
HealthCareNOWradio.com has a unique platform that allows a lot of flexibility for its listeners. You have ample opportunity throughout the month to catch the show when it airs, or you can download a podcast of the show and listen to it at a time that’s convenient for you. As I mentioned in my video blog last week, listening to podcasts during your commute to work, or at another time when you can free your mind to explore new topics and ideas, is a great way to manage your personal and professional development. If you missed that blog, you can find it here: http://practicemanagersolutions.com/showing-up-with-faith-2/
I look forward to your feedback on my new blog talk radio show. If you have ideas for topics that interest you, or you have a unique perspective and would like to join me for one of the programs, please contact me at Rebecca@rebeccamorehead.com.
